I got started in design in Austin, Texas in the mid-1990s, when I discovered that I had a knack for creating primitive “cut and paste” posters advertising performances by bands in the vibrant underground music scene there.

Over time, my skills improved, and, after receiving formal design education in Chicago, I went on to a career designing in more conventional arenas. My involvement in the music scene continues to this day, however, and I jump at the opportunities for unbridled creative expression.
